Who's who at CARE for Scotland

bill baird

Bill Baird

Manager of CARE for Scotland. Until he joined CARE in 2003, Bill had spent all his working life in academic and professional publishing.

Bill’s role in CARE for Scotland involves liaison with supporters, churches and church leaders; coordinating CARE’s activities in Scotland; and responsibility for promoting the vision of CARE throughout Scotland.

It is Bill’s hope that the work of CARE for Scotland might inspire the Church to realise the potential of the Gospel in working towards a transformed society.

A member of Stirling Baptist Church, Bill stood, unsuccessfully, as an independent candidate in the local elections in May 2007.

He is a long-standing, though oft-disappointed, supporter of Partick Thistle.
