Voluntary Placements

At the IFC we understand that hands-on experience is vital if graduates are to grow in their understanding of our complex culture and learn how to engage biblically with it. This is the reason why voluntary placements form a fundamental part of the educational programme.

Aiming to equip graduates to impact the world of politics and public life, the IFC places them in voluntary placements in parliaments, in the media and in the third sector.

Placements provide graduates with the opportunity to engage in a range of activities including research, public relations, marketing, drafting press releases and speeches, administrative tasks, film production, policy and advocacy.

Whilst placements vary from year to year, all offer unrivalled experience in the world of policy and an opportunity to see first-hand how key arenas of influence shape our culture.

Since the launch of the Leadership Programme in 1993 we have enjoyed excellent placement partnerships and demand for our volunteers constantly outstrips our ability to supply them.
