We would be very happy to talk about how your legacy can best help CARE’s ministry, although we cannot offer legal or financial advice. We would always advise you to seek advice about drawing up your Will from a solicitor or other professional who can advise you on the correct wording. For legal reasons, when administering your Will, it is enormously helpful if our full name; CARE (Christian Action Research & Education), our registered charity number (1066963) and the address as below is included.

You do not need to have a new will drawn up; you can add a beneficiary to your original will by means of a codicil. This is a simple way to amend an existing Will. Simply complete it, send one copy to your solicitor, another copy to your executor or a trusted friend and keep the original in a safe place with your Will. Download form
We will spend your gift wisely to make a Christian difference in our society. We are committed to efficiency and in 2009/10 spent just 8p in every £1 on administration (2009/10).
Gifts to registered charities made in a Will are generally exempt from inheritance tax. Benefiting a favourite cause can be a very effective way of reducing the tax liability of your estate. Please discuss possible ways of minimising the tax burden on your estate with your solicitor.
We will always respect your privacy and the details of your Will are a personal matter. If you wish to tell us about your intentions in confidence we’d like to hear from you, but you do not need to do so. Letting us know your intention will not commit you in any way at all but will enable us to respond appropriately.
If you have any other questions please speak to our Legacy Officer, Russell Hornzee, on 020 7233 0455 or email Russell.Hornzee@care.org.uk
